Event Outcome Optimization

I find events wildly overwhelming (even though I love them, they take a lot out of me.) And I never leave with every single expectation met - why? Because, until I met Deb and began the EOO process, I didn't know I was even setting them, let alone clarifying my goals and activating my takeaways. Brilliant stuff, thanks, Deb!

We are so glad that we arranged for Debra Eckerling to be our opening plenary speaker at the California Creative Writers Conference 2022. She gave a splendid presentation about how to get the most out of a writers’ conference—before, during, and afterward. Considering the timing of her session, Debra focused mostly on “during the conference,” and her suggestions were as inspiring as they were practical. I took lots of notes. Debra’s opening talk was so helpful I hope we bring her back every year!

Deb was brought onto our team to design and implement a concierge-type resource for attendees at our 3-day conference. She created and trained a team that worked one-on-one with hundreds of attendees, helping them determine how to best spend their time. The result was our attendees had a more productive and enjoyable conference experience. Deb is truly wonderful to work with. She has a knack for connecting with people to help them establish and plan their goals.

Very happy I booked an Event Outcome Optimization session with Deb before attending my first in-person conference in a while! On our call, Deb helped me go over my mission and messaging ahead of the event. We talked about my goals for the conference and set attainable goals for me to make connections while at the event. Deb had great ideas for how I could keep sustaining the relationships after the conference too, and I'll be creating a podcast mini-series in response to her suggestions. I felt more confident going in with a plan than I would have without this level of intention. It was very helpful to work with Deb - I enjoyed our call and found it helpful to center myself before attending the event.

This workshop and planning session was amazing to attend. Debra helped me really sit down and consider what I wanted to get out of my next conference (which was about a week after this) and how to plan for that outcome. If you have a major event you're planning to attend, I recommend going through Deb's workshop to help you plan to get the most out of it.
